Tennise Lucas is a proud New Mexico native and graduate of the Roswell public school system with over 20 years of experience in education. She holds a Master of Education, an administrative license, and an Attendance Coach License. Her teaching journey has spanned grades 2-7, and has served in various leadership roles, including College and Career Director, Attendance Coach, and High School Dean. Currently, she works as a Disciplinary Literacy Coach at South Valley Academy through NWREC2.

Beyond education, she comes from a ranching family and has a deep connection to the land and its traditions. For over 20 years, she taught tap and Irish dancing, blending artistry and discipline into her work with students. She is also the proud mother of an amazing daughter who resides in California.
