Candy Raines is a Disciplinary Literacy Coach with the NWREC2, working  primarily in Roswell. Before becoming a literacy coach, she spent eighteen years in education. Fourteen of those years were spent teaching Math and Science in various New Mexico private and public schools. She also spent three years as an assistant principal. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master's in Educational Administration from Eastern New Mexico University - Portales. Prior to her career in education, Raines was an x-ray and ultrasound technologist. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and loves to spend time in the great outdoors.
