Vicky Abreu, Education Coordinator

Education Program Support

I bring over 30 years of experience in education across various school districts in New Mexico. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to serve in many roles, including classroom teacher in both general and special education, assistant principal, principal, special education director, and athletic director.

No matter the position, my passion has always been centered on supporting student achievement and helping teachers feel confident, prepared, and valued in their work.

My position with Northwest Regional Education Cooperative 2 (NWREC2) has been especially meaningful and joyful, as it allows me to partner with educators by providing guidance, resources, and encouragement. I am grateful to continue working alongside teachers and school leaders to create strong learning opportunities for all students.

Education Program Support

I am pleased to join NWREC#2 and grateful for the opportunity to be part of this dedicated team. I look forward to contributing to the important work taking place across the region while continuing to learn, collaborate, and grow professionally.

As an Educational Coordinator, my work centers on instructional quality, program coordination, and ongoing professional development throughout NWREC#2. With a background in higher education and college and career readiness, I value collaborating with educators to strengthen systems, promote equitable practices, and support success for instructors, students, and staff.
