Chelsea, Stephens

Chelsea currently lives in Silver City, NM. Originally from Central Texas, she has a rich background in East Texas culture with Cajun roots. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism from Texas A&M University. After a career in marketing and communications, Chelsea found her way to the classroom like her mother before her. 

Chelsea has 6 years of experience in education teaching 2nd and 3rd grades. She has worked in a variety of elementary schools, which allows her to use her wide range of experience to help other teachers and colleagues. She has a passion for teaching reading and is certified in multiple science of reading frameworks including Reading Academies and LETRS. She is also a big advocate for CTE and career readiness programs as she benefited greatly from these programs in her youth. She loves being able to be of service to others and help in any way she can. 

In her personal time, you might see her with her son Luke and her husband Matthew. She loves to read books in her free time and find new recipes to try. She loves to travel with her family to experience different areas and cultures as well as back home to Texas to spend time with family.
